We are currently seeking an IT professional to join our dynamic IT Services team in Toronto to assist with our growing day-to-day IT needs. As an entry level IT Support Specialist, this individual’s role will be to provide exceptional end user service support by ensuring proper computer operation thus ensuring that end users can accomplish their daily business tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide phone, remote and desk side support for end user requests
- Log and track individual issues from inception to resolution
- Support all end user hardware and software, as well as all in-house and boxed legal software
- Setup desktops, printers and hardware peripherals
- Provide in-house application first level support to all users - including informal training
- Document internal policies and procedures
- Escalate to and follow up to/with second level support when necessary
- Responsible for providing users with system status updates
- Provide input to build the framework of the Help Desk – including revisiting and reviewing process
- Provide assistance to other areas of IT Services
- Support our desktop refresh program, including Ghosting of desktop images
- Support meetings/boardrooms with technology (PC’s, projectors and network access)
- Testing and quality control of new or upgraded software and hardware
- New hire orientations including maintenance of end user documentation
Job Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Computers or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Strong PC and desktop application skills in Windows environments (mainly XP, with upgrade plans for Windows 7)
- Strong client service, communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work, troubleshoot and research independently
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office 2007 suite of products.
- Customer Service related background an asset
- Knowledge of the Legal industry an asset
